# DBT with Fabric

This is a step by step data warehousing tutorial for Fabric Data Warehouse with DBT

1. lets get started with creation of Python Virtual Env

  python -m venv venv
  #activate the venv
  .\venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1
```

- At this point, you need a Service Principal and grant that access to the DW. Follow this video : <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3JgFkGoPk4>
- After you have created the Service Principal, you need to add it to the db_owbner role.

  ALTER ROLE db_owner ADD MEMBER [DiiS-DE]
```
